Gary R. Matthews PhD, CPA/PFS, AIF is an investment advisory representative of First Affirmative Financial Network and a registered CPA with 30 years experience. He began his career as a CPA, tax and financial planner with Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1979. In 1987, he became a Partner and Director of Taxes for a regional CPA firm in Albany, NY, working primarily with closely-held companies, partnerships and individuals. Since 2000, Mr. Matthews' practice has been solely focused on social/green investing and financial life planning. He currently serves on the Executive Committee and as Treasurer of GreenFaith, New Jersey's interfaith coalition for the environment. He received his PhD in social ethics from Union Theological Seminary in New York, and his MS in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany. Paul Rode [photo]Paul H Rode

Paul H. Rode is a Project Executive for the Solutions Division of Johnson Controls, Inc. where he leads a team comprised of mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers, to develop large infrastructure projects in the New York Metro area. This work includes energy performance contracting, energy savings guarantees, distributed generation, and operations studies. Mr. Rode has been with Johnson Controls for 15 years and has held a variety of positions from Senior Project Manager, Performance Contracting Team Leader, Development Engineer, and Business Development Director. Prior to joining Johnson Controls, he worked on foreign project management assignments involving the construction of cogeneration stations in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Brazil, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. Mr. Rode is a professional engineer with a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College, New York. He is regular contributor of white papers and articles covering the energy efficiency industry.

Steven Stern [photo]Steven Stern

Steven Stern is proud to have been elected to the office of Suffolk County Legislator representing the 16th Legislative District. While serving his constituency with dedication, he also has been named the Chairman of the Veterans and Seniors Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Public Works and Transportation Committee, and Vice Chairman of Economic Development, Higher Education & Energy. Mr. Stern brings extensive experience as an attorney representing the elderly and the disabled to his position as Chairman of the Veterans and Seniors Committee. A graduate of Tulane University School of Arts and Sciences in New Orleans, Louisiana, he received his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. He is a Certified Elder Law Attorney and a member of the New York and Florida Bar Associations. Mr. Stern has served as an adjunct professor at Touro School of Law, and he has been named one of Long Island's top 40 rising leaders under the age of 40 by Long Island Business News.

Emily Stone develops shareholder advocacy campaigns and engages with companies and other institutional investors to promote corporate environmental responsibility as Green Century Fund's Shareholder Advocate. Before joining the Green Century staff, Ms. Stone graduated from the rigorous Green Corps field school in environmental organizing. While at Green Corps, she organized campaigns across the United States with the Sierra Club, Environment America, and U.S. PIRG, tackling urgent environmental issues ranging from overfishing to coal. Ms. Stone holds a BA in Sociology from Georgetown University.

Bobbi Wilding [photo]Bobbi Chase Wilding
Bobbi Chase Wilding is Vice President of Citizens for a Clean Environment in Cobleskill, NY, the Organizing Director of Clean New York, and a member of the Advisory Board for the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute. She co-leads the Emerging Technologies Workgroup of the Coming Clean Collaborative, and previously co-led its Fenceline Action Workgroup and coordinated the northeast leg of the 2006 Environmental Justice for All tour. Ms. Chase Wilding developed the interactive-map-based www.ecoTHREATNY.org, wrote Environmentally Safe Hospitals: A Resource Guide for New York City Hospital Materials and Waste Managers, Environmental Racism in New York State , and co-authored Building Green without Going in the Red: A Household Guide to Healthy, Affordable Building Materials. She received her bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, and her master's degree in Ecological Economics, Values and Policy, both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
